The City of Fort Wayne's anti-discrimination laws protects all who allege discrimination based on the following classifications:  religion, sex, race, color, disability, national origin, ancestry, place of birth, sexual orientation, age, and familial status.  Familial Status protects families, or single parents, who have children under the age of 18 years living with them.  The protections afforded against discrimination on the basis of familial status apply to any person who is pregnant or is in the process of securing legal custody of any individual who has not reached the age of 18 years.
